The Significance of Native Trees

June 15 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

ISA-Board Certified Master Arborist, Levi Parkin, will be at the Baldwin City Library, June 15th from 11am-12pm. Levi will be discussing the importance of planting native trees, and how to properly incorporate them into our urban forests and landscapes.
This is an all-ages event! In addition to Levi’s presentation, we will have a tree ID activity table set up for kiddos, and there will be a chance to win one of two Tree ID books:
*Trees, Shrubs, and Woody Vines in Kansas by
by Michael John Haddock and Craig C. Freeman
*Trees, Leaves & Bark by Diane Burns
We will wrap up this event with a 15min Q&A session, so be sure to bring your questions!
Levi Parkin is an ISA-Board Certified Master Arborist, the current president of the Kansas Arborists Association, and the Forestry Supervisor for the City of Lawrence. He is also a proud Baldwin City resident!
